An interesting Theory indeed. Empty An interesting Theory indeed.

Post  kilikodagawa Thu Apr 02, 2009 4:26 pm

I'm sitting on Ventrilo, talking to friends of mine.

One of them popped off something that REALLY makes sense to me.

Acclaim, buying the rights from GameHi, is having trouble updating. I'm starting to think that this is a load of garbage.

GameHi, selling the rights to Acclaim, won't give the patches. Again, one huge load.

Listen closely to this, I was told that GameHi was threatening Acclaim with a lawsuit for not updating the game. I was told Act 4 was never supposed to come out for us. And this is clear if you paid attention. Was Act 4 advertisted? Were people expecting it at all?...Only the people that were in touch with some other server. They were the ones that posted videos and links.

Acclaim made a HASTY advertisement for it about a week before its release.

Well, after that happened, people that knew about the patches started posting what we, the dedicated 2Moons player, could and should expect.

I'll be damned, look at all the private servers that are TWO acts ahead of us. Hell, even Dekaron EU got Act 4 before we did. And Acclaim is having "translating" patches, when I could make my own server, and not have one damn problem.

We need to be sure GameHi is giving the patches, and we need to be REAL DAMN SURE that David Perry is doing his job and not screwing us out of our money.

I apologize for any language or flaming in this post.

    Ok read this carefully

    Blueflash :

Us publishing Spellborn does not affect GameHi's ability to get new patches and content into our game. Whether or not it affects their desire to is still up in the air.

He posted that in this thread : http://phpbb.acclaim.com/2moons/viewtopic.php?p=1003285&highlight=#1003285

What the hell does that mean?? "Whether or not it affects their desire to is still up in the air."

I wouldn't be shocked if GameHi just gave up on 2Moons completely. Acclaim is taking on too great of a responsibility at once.

I agree, this is a very good theory. Makes a lot of sense.

All I can hope out of this is that Acclaim is forced to shut down 2moons and another company will buy the rights and start a new game, hopefully this company is competent in running the game.

As I told you when you sent it to me in PM.. pretty much literally none of this is true.

Acclaim has no reason to hold out patches... and GameHi is not threatening to sue us.

However, in case you guys aren't up to date by your internet searching. GameHi does have new management that has ties to American publishing.

There is a reality to the situation, but the one that you posted is not it.

PS. does responding like this mean I have absolutely no clue whats going on in game?

Nah, it actually makes you more of a human rather than an antisocial guy. We LIKE Game Managers that communicate, that's the community issue with you in my honest opinion.

But this was posted a while back, and if you wanna help us, we'd be more than happy to have you.

But I'm guessing it'll be just like the 2moons forums and we'll hear from you every other month

Dragonwag....Not so harsh. He posted TWICE on this forum, in a single day. I'm sure he's found some things he's interested in talking about and telling us.

    That's the problem.

Willing to talk here, a community not even a part of his actual forums, but not willing to address (and I mean actually address) the actual community that wants to hear from him.

Then we take the information he posts here, and transfer it to the community forums.

Sorry, but I was personally flamed for well over 9 months for being a VGM and defending guys like him. I'm not going to be flamed for someone who is to much of a coward to actually talk on their forums and have to do it here.

I'm not impressed by him sneaking in here and TRYING to make it look like the community can't do shit for the game and that they honestly don't want our help.

I'd ask him to prove me otherwis, but he's probably already forgotten these forums exist. Hell he barely even knows his actual forums at 2moons exist and has tobe reminded every now and again to show up there.

Actually, he's been RATHER active on the forums the past few days. He has more to say now, more interaction with the community. Hell, he even got SUPPORT from the community. Just go look.
